St. Michaels Madeley

The above activities were run by Sutton Hill and Woodside Churches in the grounds of Madeley Orchard just behind St. Michael's church.

St Michael's is a historic church and home to a lively and friendly group of Christians of all ages.

Visitors are always welcome at our main service at St.Michael's at 10.30am every Sunday morning. Our style of service typically combines contemporary and traditional elements, and aims to be accessible and welcoming to all. The music chosen for worship includes a mix of the best of traditional hymns and present day songs.

Refreshments are served after the morning service and worshippers are encouraged to stay and enjoy fellowship together.

Youngsters and families are warmly welcomed to worship on Sundays. There is a creche in the church for the very young and older children are included in the service, with separate resources provided too.

Fellowship & Church Life

  • A number of house groups meet at different times of the year and are augmented by groups set up specifically during Lent.
  • We have a structured Pastoral Care Scheme involving approximately 50 members which enables non-intrusive care to be offered to church members.
  • A thriving Fellowship Group of about 40 meets on the last Monday afternoon of the month and includes members from other churches in the area.
  • A Flower Arranging Group provides flowers in church throughout the year as well as for weddings.
  • A Hospitality Group provides catering for church events.
