                                                      Thank you.

Harvest was celebrated in all our three churches in this united benefice over the last few weeks.   Windows were decorated along with pews; the main focus being the altar table with an infusion of autumnal colours and produce given by congregation members to be distributed to local food banks for those who are suffering hardship at this time.  We pray all who have a part in growing and transporting produce to our local food markets and give thanks for all their hard work.   Most of all we thank God for his creation, of which we are part.

The Holy Trinity Church PCC held a fund raising event in Coalbrookdale's Community Rooms and on the Cokehearth on 6th September in order to raise funds towards the repair/restoration of the Harrison & Harrison Organ which has been played for services, weddings, funerals and baptisms.

Our thanks go out to all who attended - it was a very succesful event and we were grateful for the beautiful weather.  We raised £420 towards the fund - Thank you to all who contributed i.e, stall holders, refreshments and to the many who carried tables backwards and forwards.   Thank You.

Holy Trinity was temporarily closed to visitors due to a health and safety issue regarding their magnificent Harrison & Harrison 3 manual pipe organ which is located close to the main doors of the church.   An inspection revealed that the organ was leaning forward and was in danger of collapsing due to it's heavy pipes.   Approximately 600 pipes have, therefore, been removed from the body of the church with the intention of making safe the area.   We are pleased to open the church once again from 1st October from 10 - 3:00pm each day and apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused to anyone who wished to visit the church earlier, but hope you will understand the risk involved and request that you keep us in your prayers as we proceed with fund raising.

Click on our Fund Raising page above and you will find an opportunity of donating to the restoration of this organ, if you so wish.   Your help would be gratefully appreciated.

The Fund at the end of September stands at £1,910.   Our thanks go to everyone who has contributed so far.   Further donations can be made through 'Go Fund Me', and individual donations directly into 'Coalbrookdale PCC' account.  For more information please click on 'Fund Raising' at the top of this page.... thank you.

Coalbrookdale's Holy Trinity church yard (at the far end) has undergone much needed work by volunteers once again with the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust at the beginning of October.  Their hard work was greatly appreciated as this area had become badly overgrown.  Many thanks to all who gave their time and energy to this enormous task.
